Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College was founded in 2002, formerly known as Lushan College of Guangxi University of Science and Technology, and was jointly organized by Liuzhou Municipal Government and Guangxi University of Science and Technology. In April 2020, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was transformed into an ordinary full-time undergraduate college headed by Guangxi Education Department and renamed Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College.
