(4) Upon receipt of the basic pension insurance relationship and funds transferred by the social security agency in the place where the participant's original basic pension insurance relationship is located, the agency in the new place of participation shall complete the relevant formalities within 15 working days, and notify the employer or the participant of the confirmation in a timely manner.

For insured persons who are employed across provinces, the transfer of pension insurance relationship needs to go through three processes: the new insured place to review the application for transfer and send a letter of consent to accept to the original place of participation - the original place of participation in the transfer formalities - the new place of participation in the acceptance of the transfer formalities and funds.

After the three processes are completed, the transfer can be finalized, and the policy stipulates that each process can take up to 15 working days, which means that it can take up to 45 working days for the participants to complete all the procedures.
